Changes to MARINe plots; changes outstanding

Hey guys,

Jenn has been trying to get changes made to the dyrgraph plots for some time now:

Several of these requested changes are aesthetic, others are more complicated. Once we close issue #32, #27, and #28 we should be able to divide and conquer.

(just a heads up, Jenn is pretty annoyed at how outstanding these requested changes are. We should prioritize this ASA)

Hi @mspector13, I am having a lot of trouble understanding what to focus on from Punch List for Sanctuaries Interactive infographics - Google Docs.

Talking to Jenn now and she says priorities are:

MARINe rocky_* plots

• [x] 1. brighter colors & thicker lines on time series plots. Ben: easy .
• [x] 2. Sanctuary average (thick black line) is not showing for OCNMS. Ben: This should be fixed with latest rocky_ updates that automatically average by sanctuary with site = "ALL" & cluster = "ALL".
• [x] 3. The x-axis shows "Jan YYYY" when zooming in, so better to remove the "Jan" and just show YYYY. Ben: Better to have as integer(year) to avoid confusion.

Meeting with OCNMS this Tuesday, Feb 15, 2022.

All of the above are fixed with latest onmsR. We just have to fix the modal Rmd's after reinstalling onmsR.

I finished updating the core onmsR rocky_* data and functions, then used them (rocky_map, rocky_tsplot) in the following initial modals:

• Ochre stars (∆ Rmd)

• Mussels (∆ Rmd)

This is awesome @bbest! From a conversation with Jenn on 2/25:

• [ ] Make sure legend doesn't interfere with data (@superjai's suggestion, "extend y-axis but make sure it's invisible so we don't report % cover over 100%) (jai
• [ ] How do we get a modal window with interactive trends to have the monitoring and data links at the top in the gray bar? (Jai)
• [ ] Remove title from interactive plots (it's already in the tab name) (Ben; because the default w/o a title argument is "...in Olympic Coast")
• [x] there is a caption for mussel plot but no caption for ochre star. (jai)
• [x] I would like to tweak the tab names for the interactive graphs and also the graph titles. How do I go about doing that? (jai)
• [ ] Ochre star: y-axis scale is much different from the graph that I made for the condition report from the data provided to me by MARINe for the OCNMS meetings - see tab 'Trends - abundance (MARINe). They provided a total count. I think you are calculating it differently. (@bbest)
• [x] Can we implement these changes for the acorn barnacles (in barnacles plots) as well? (Pike, pending Ben's edits)

This is great! We're almost there guys. Two more things:

• [ ] Remove default title argument (we don't actually need the individual plots titled because the tab title takes care of this"
• [ ] Need an easier way to adjust line colors (e.g., for surfgrass there is only one site, it would be great to swap the colors around)
