Mac Mouse Fix settings don't propagate when using universal control #277

Is there a way to propagate?

I have the same request! To explain this a bit more:

Apple's new Universal Control feature lets you control an iPad or Mac from another Mac. I use it a bunch to control my iPad. Sadly my Mouse Fix customizations don't seem to apply. I'd love to assign some mouse button to special shortcuts that then get sent to the iPad, but no luck. Mouse Fix seems unaware of Universal Control completely. And if it did work, I'm not sure how to make an app-specific rule for it because there's no real obvious app for Universal Control.

Also all the other mouse button control apps I've tried, SteerMouse, etc, don't work either. My guess is that Universal Control is tapping into the mouse activity at a lower level where the APIs used by all the mouse customization apps don't have access. (for example, all keyboard shortcuts pressed in Universal Control mode get sent directly to the other device, even if the host machine has a "global" shortcut registered. It gets bypassed/ignored)

Would love for Mouse Fix to work with Universal Control in the future!

Hey guys, that sounds really cool, I'd love to add Universal Control support at some point!

I looked into this a little bit, but unfortunately I don't have an iPad to test, and as @varenc mentioned it seems that Universal Control is capturing mouse input at a very low level so I'm not entirely sure how you could implement this.

I'll be on the lookout though, as I would really love to see this feature, too!

You can use two mac computers in lieu of a Mac and iPad

A cool, good to know!
