MacMouseFix not finding Logitech M575 3rd and 4th button [bug] #853

Description

While I have buttons set up in the app, those buttons don't launch the MMF features expected. Connected over bluetooth.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Opened MMF
  2. clicked Buttons 3., moved mouse pointer inside the + field
  3. buttons 3 and 4 didnt work
  4. gave up waited til trial expired, realized this was still a problem and whoops here we are.

Context

Mac Mouse Fix Version: 3.0.1 macOS Version: 14.3.1 Mouse Model: logitech m575

I recently got a M575 installed and got the same issue.

After restarting the Mac, I opened MMF and got a prompt saying "A Logitech USB Receiver" is detected in the Buttons tab, prompting me to restore defaults, I selected the "Mouse with 5+ buttons" and clicked Restore and voila it works!

I keep trying this, but Buttons 4 and 5 (the ones on the left hand side near the ball) don't light up in the + box and don't do anything in MMF or on the Mac.

Similar issue with SteelSeries Aerox 3 Wireless. The middle mouse button is not being detected no matter what I try.

It works now! Not sure how, maybe something OS related
