When you middle click to open link in new tab in safari it triggers one of 3 cases:
1 - opens new tab in background with the link and scrolls current page to top
2 - opens link in current page (mostly when clicking YouTube thumbnails)
3 - (usually in google results) marks more than just the clicked link (usually the whole result) and instead open the top link in the selection instead of the clicked link, which is usually some google translation link of the website instead of the actual website.
Steps to reproduce
Install the mentioned MMF version (works with older versions too), do not know if it works with newer.
open Safari browser and visit a site from the ones mentioned in the description. The YouTube seems like the most annoying one.
On the website middle click on a link and you should observe one of the mentioned scenarios:
a) in YouTube clicking on thumbnail will open the video in current tab instead of new tab.
b) in google (if result is in different locale) will open top most link instead of the clicked link. This would be easier demonstrated than explained but here I don't see a way to add attachments . (NVM, found out it actually creates GH issue at the end, just reply if you need video of the issues.)
c) The scroll to top is even weirder because I noticed it only on some shopping websites
However in all mentioned websites and scenarios pressing CMD + left mouse button seems to work as expected.
