Please see the attached screenshot, not sure why the error happens. I'm using Android 15, on a Pixel 6.

Thanks for the new release.

Do you have your internet and GPS active? Does the app have permission to use GPS?

What happens if you hit the camera button on the top left?

chrisdebian commented 6 days ago

Hi, @BDVGitHub.

Yes, internet and GPS are active. The previous version of Panoramax had permissions, and I wasn't prompted to change these, with the new version.

When I select the Camera icon, the imagery collection screen is activated, as I would expect.

I'm happy to submit logs for debugging, if you let me know how.

Thanks,

Chris

Good question, unfortunately I don't know the answer. @Jean-BaptisteC @OtterWays @cquest @overflorian can you tell how to see the logbook in the app for error handeling? See Also #111 Thx

@chrisdebian can you take 1 photo or sequence en try to upload en see what happens next? I haven't installed the new release yet...

BDVGitHub commented 5 days ago

Just installed the latest version, on startup I get the same error message as @chrisdebian Taking single photo or sequence succeeds, sending single photo or sequence fails (I can take the photo's, press the button to send the sequence, then I can see the photo's to select wich photo's that I want to send, when I then push send, I don't get the screen for uploading pictures, I only see an emty main screen like on Chris his photo) . So there must be a bug in the programme somewhere. I am using a Samsung Galaxy S10, all apps in the play store are up to date as is my phone's software.

BDVGitHub commented 5 days ago

@chrisdebian for the moment I suggest you unistall the app and use the version before the last one

chrisdebian commented 5 days ago

Thanks for looking into this, @BDVGitHub

Hi, I faced the same issue and the solution is simple: uninstall the previous version before installing the new one. Could you pleaee confirm it fixes the issue for you too?

chrisdebian commented 5 days ago

Still a problem for me. I installed the latest beta, over the previous release. I have just uninstalled the latest beta, then performed a new install of the latest beta. I still have the same error.

Sorry,

Chris

@overflorian Its working now thx

Is it maybe possible to place on eatch page on the Panoramax app te software version off the app that is used (so V1.1 or V1.2, ...)? This can be handy in the futere for error handeling, so that we know if the issue that is placed by an person is an software version (for example people that uses app that is not up to date, so that some futures are for example not present in V1.1 but in V1.2 it is present) or not...

@chrisdebian Can you descibe what program you use to remove panoramax and how you remove the panoramax app? Is it possible to check if all you're other apps are updated, do you now the brand and type off you're phone?

chrisdebian commented 5 days ago

Hi, @BDVGitHub. I uninstalled via Settings > Apps

Yes, it's planned in the upcoming menu https://github.com/nobelization/panoramax-mobile-app/issues/51

@overflorian On another github repo, I saw the following. When you report a problem by creating a topic in "issue" there is a template ready in the text field to report a problem, this text serves as a guide to report a problem. Below is a custom template that could be used here. Source emhass issues

same for me. I upgraded from v1.1.2 and saw the error message on start. then uninstalled and re-installed v1.2.0 without success. Then removed v1.2.0 and reinstalled v1.1.2, removed data and cache, uninstalled it and installed v1.2.0 again - also not successful. I have the same effects as described above: https://github.com/nobelization/panoramax-mobile-app/issues/126#issuecomment-2480642953

@call-me-matt Would you know what brand and type of phone you are using? What is the software version of your phone, this information can usually be found in setting and then info phone
