Double Check-in #136

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Check-in to a location
2. As the check-in screen appears, rotate your phone, e.g. by opening or 
closing the physical keyboard.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expect to check-in once, however if you get the timing right you check-in 
twice. The duplicate check-in should not happen.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Version 2009112300 on a G1 running CyanogenMod-4.2.7

I can also get this to happen by
1. hitting "Quick check-in"
2. Immedately hit End to lock the screen
3. Wake the phone back up from sleep, not necessarily immediately
