Remove the 'resolution' property #77

I replaced the property by a debug log; No one noticed that it didn't work for some time and I say no one is really interested in the value for normal usage. For debugging, one can just look at the log.

I'll rebase and format this after #72 is merged.

72 merged now. Please rebase and move changes to #79 if they don't concern the resolution property.
