Automatic calibration of signal levels between K3 S-Meter and PowerSDR/IF Stage #135

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

We can use the S-Meter value reported from the K3 to calibrate the relative
signal levels in PowerSDR/IF Stage. Need more thought here on how this
will work.

I was thinking it might be easier to ignore the Preamp settings (or do this
when it
is set to "Off"), and just apply the correction underneath. It may be harder to
match up to specific Preamp settings and actually automatically change the
Preamp
control value.

My initial thought was to clear out all the entries from the preamp box when we
were
doing this. Maybe place one entry in there that says "automatic".

Yeah. We could add an "Auto" to it. The functionality would only work if
"Auto" is
selected, and the others will behave as before.

Of course, "Auto" would be selected by default when connected to a K3. "Auto"
should
not exist if connected to any other rig.
