Audio Distortion #176

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Moved from XP, after about 2 years, to Windows 7, and all went very well with
this one exception.

Using V1.19.3.5
1. 3.1 Ghz dual processor with 4 gb of memory. E-MU 0202 sound card (USB)
2. When listening to the radio via PowerSDR, mute turned off, after about 15-20
minutes the audio gets very distorted. Turning PowerSDR start off and then back
on fixes the problem for another 15-20 minutes.
3. Radio is a K-3

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

Please provide any additional information below.

Hi all i was struggling with the above problems and suddenly noticed i made the
powersdr-if problem appear in Nap3 if you slow the Fps down in the pana fall
water fall display it causes the problem to appear.
I could not even use 48Khz with my emu-0404 card then changing the fps settings
to 40fps cures this.

i can now use powersdr-if in 192Khz use ham radio deluxe online via wireless
with no latency issues .

my settings q6600 2Gb ddr3 Windows 7 64. Emu-0404
kenwood ts 950sdx

i hope this helps some people out.

Jason in your case your soundcard and videocard are probably sharing an IRQ.
