PowerSDR/IF Stages Hangs At startup #202

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Cat connected to FTDX-5000
2. BPS set for 38400
3. Start PowerSDR/IF 1.19.5
4. Splash Screen Hangs saying "Loading Main Form 2 seconds"

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
To start up and run.
The spash screen hanging at 2 seconds

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
1.19.5 4/6/11

Please provide any additional information below.
I'm not sure what else you need.

I uninstalled the app and attempted a reinstall AFTER this issue started. But
the behavior remains the same.

My PC is a DELL P4 3.6Ghz with 4Gb Ram.

The app WAS running earlier in the week, and now it's not.

If there is a log someplace I'd check that, but I have no idea what's wrong.

Other apps have no trouble accessing the CAT on this rig with the same
settings.

I presume that a clean install would default to DEMO mode, in which case the
CAT isn't involved from what I understand.

Initially BEFORE I received my LP-Pan and E-Mu 1212m, I only had a SB ZS 2
Audigy sound card.

Last week I received a new E-Mu 1212m and my LP-Pan and installed them.

Apparently there is an issue with a hardware change like adding a new sound
card.

Although I had uninstalled PSDR/IF it did not remove the database.xml (and/or)
other files in

C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\PowerSDR IF-Stage v1.19.3\

Steps to correct:

1.) uninstalled PSDR/IF.
2.) deleted directory: C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application
Data\PowerSDR IF-Stage v1.19.3
3.) re-installed PSDR/IF

Problem solved. Simple really, but I wouldn't have known to do this is Chris
hadn't told me to.

Thanks Chris.
