PowerSDR & Orion - RTTY frequency wrong #205

Not sure whether to call this a bug report or feature request - you decide.
Here's the problem: PowerSDR doesn't appear to know that with the Orion II
running FSK, the frequency read is the MARK frequency, not the carrier
frequency as with AFSK. So, if I use DIGL mode in PowerSDR and FSK mode in
the Orion, and adjust the offset so that the signal is centered in the visual
filter passband, all is well. But, if I then go to PowerSDR and mouse on an
RTTY signal, the selected signal ends up at the carrier position instead of in
the center of the filter. The frequency read by the Orion is the MARK
frequency, not the carrier frequency. I'm told the same is true for Kenwood.
It would be nice to have an ORION button in Setup IF and one of the functions
of that button would be to cause RTTY selections to use the Mark frequency and
not the carrier frequency. Or maybe just an FSK button there.

Have you searched the forum? Several people have asked about RTTY and mark
frequency. There may be some settings to make it do what you want:

Use rtty and mark for a search.

Is this still an issue?

No - I dumped PowerSDR/IF months ago due to stability problems and have
been happy with my SDR-IQ and Spectravue since then.
