Can you try a different USB OTG adapter?
Do you get any dialog when you connect your DSLR? The Gallery dialog should
popup.

I have a new USB OIG adapter on order. I expect it in any day and will let
know what happens.
I get no dialog when I connect my DSLR. Its like it isn't seeing it at all.

I got two new USP OIG adapters and tried them both. No recognition of the
camera with either one.

Does the Motorola RAZR Maxx has the USB Host function (kernel and Android)?
Do you now get the Gallery dialog with the new adapter when you plugin in your
camera?
Did you try connecting the camera with a powered USB HUB?

I had connection Problems too with D70 and D3100.

After root access and running "Usb Host Dignostic" it suddenly recognized the
Cams during the diagnostics, now i'm using "USB Host Controller" and everything
is working fine.

Really Nice Work! Keep it UP!

I ran "Usb Host Dignostic" on the phone it reported code 138178 when the camera

I read about it on XDA and the Razr is configured to use OTG functionality thru
the Motorola Dock. It won't initiate the OTG function if there's no 5 volt feed
on the USB cable. Some people got it working by connecting a powered (min 1
amp) USB hub on a Y-cable.

I got the same problem but with my Galaxy Tab2 10.1

Android 4.1.2
Kernel 3.0.31 - 812001
Builnummer JZ054K.P5110XXDMF1

I updated the firmware from Android 3.0 tot 4.1.2 on Jun 26 2013
I had no problems with that firmware to connect my dSLR to the tablet. It was
running perfect but since the firmware upgrade no response..no notification.

However...if I connect a small cardreader to the tablet it is recognized...but
a dSLR does not work.
