Check for all switches DOWN #260

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What new feature/ability do you want?
At startup have Switch Warning check to see if all switches are DOWN. I would
like to see the menu item toggle between OFF-DOWN-UP.

What is the expected output?
Warning message if any of the switches (excluding trainer) are UP

What version of the product are you using?
All

Please provide any additional information below.
To me, it seems more logical. Low rates - switch low(down). Gear down -
switch down. I would want to start most models with all switches down.

I think being able to assign a switch configuration would be better. If the
switches are not in the configuration you assigned, then a big message would
come up on the screen that might say "SWITCHES NOT SET FOR CESSNA".

Have a screen where you can save your switch configuration.

This could help in directing your attention to which plane is selected so you
don't have the wrong plane selected for the plane your going to fly.

This is a really good idea: much better than the std FW "SWITCH ERROR" message.
Ups to funforal...@hotmail.com for this contribution.

Yes I have to admit that is even better than my original idea. The only
downside is the expanded model memory it would take. I would certainly settle
happily for a check for "down" but funforal's idea would take care of business
nicely.
