Describe the usecase for the feature

We need a workflow management which should have features like

• Drag and drop workflow creator with list of stages
• Restricting stage transitions from specific stages ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OSFYcfbvdpg&t=25s )
• Which person or team allowed to make certain state transitions

This feature/module will help to categorise based on business scenarios

Suggested Solution

I have developed this manually using 3 tables

• master_stages( reservation, confirmation, checkin checkout)
• stage_transition_history( user1, from: reservation, to: confirmation)
• state_machines_allowed_transitions_by_roles( role: receptionist, allowed from: confirmation to: check-in)

I liked the architecture of zoho creator - blueprint

for example a guest lifecyle in hotel booking and stay process, there will be multiple forms. each form data might store in differnet tables

Form 1: Initially collect Booking details, checkin/checkout date, Guest details, co guests Form 2: Ops: KYC collection form for guest and co guests Form 3: Food customerization form to collect food preferences, allergy Form 4: Refund of security deposit form: for collecting bank account details

above forms data collection happens when a employee do state transitions from nocodb UI(currently feature not available)
