Stand-Up Meeting and Our Daily Goals

On this issue, we display day by day of our goals and what we have achieved with the time of our working hours, also with other notes as well

11/12/2020 From 10 till 6 pm (my local time) 8 hours Full time. ur Work fellow was as a following

We start to set up our goals.

1. Understanding the Software structure.
2. Looking at other Examples that have the same idea as our program.
3. Understand the Structure of the Electron.
4. Finding a way of compiling the Electron with React.

We have achieved on our first day:

• [x] Built a Software based on Reactjs & electron, in order to understand Electron, so I set up a boilerplate of Electron and React on one app, for the link "https://github.com/karmelyoei/boilerplate"./Karmel
• [x] Setting up the Git hub Repo/Nathan
• [x] Drawing the prototype with Figma/ Nathan & Karmel

My workflow was as a following:

• [x] correct the animation with another animation
• [x] trying to figure out how to deploy the animation with react

Today I worked on SettingPage PR & lanPage PR

• [x] activated the Start Button
• [x] Display the network data into the table at the SettingPage
• [x] design the Lan page with the new end point
• [x] create the header and body of the Lan page

Today I worked at infopage PR and about PR

• [x] finishing the design of the info PR
• [x] creating the about page
• [x] finishing all the PRs
• [x] merging the PRS and make sure the code is working

02/01/2021 From 11:00 till 7:31 pm

Today I changed from the browser into a desktop window by setting up the election

• [x] add electron js file
• [x] download the libraries needed
• [x] change the router of the react
• [x] make the first landing page responsive according to the new width and height of the software
• [x] create the tray icon and the dock icon
• [ ] try to change the setting from dialog into the new window ( caused me bug)

what I should do next time: I have to change the Setting page from dialog into a new window make the dock icon listen to the click to show and hide window Select function for the scan the network method make the rest of the pages responsive to the software window refactor the code

Today 8/1/2021 From 10:00 am to 7:00 pm local time

I and Nathan worked on solving a problem with the slow uploading of the last branch I worked at, it took along hours after Nathan solved the problem I worked at:

• [x] creating a new child window of setting page
• [x] display the dialog of the setting page at the new window
• [x] make the design responsive.
• [x] communicate between the windows (sending info back and forth)

What should we do next time:

1. Make the new customized Setting page responsive at Electron window
2. Make all the pages of the react responsively at electron.
3. bring the default scan network in the selection option

I worked Mainly on the responsive issue of pages So

• [x] Made the customized Setting page responsively and finished the PR merged it.
• [x] Made the Alan page responsive at all window dimensions ( trust me it take a long time more than you think)

I will work in the middle of the upcoming week to make the rest of the pages responsive so Next time I have to

• [ ] Make Info page responsive
• [ ] Make About Page responsive
• [ ] add labels at each component and page for accessibility.

15/01/2021 Friday, I with Nathan we worked on the selection part when the user selects the selection it will display the network name with the IP addresses

Further to work with is tomorrow I have to work with start btn and scan js with scan names

16/1/2021 Sat,

restructure the folders, built the server, and connected with the client-side, sending requests and response to get the host devices

what should we do next"? well we have to filter the network address to get only the IP address which is in the format of 192.168.20.1 sth like that to start the processing of the scan

correct the scan function to return the value of the host names

23/1/2021 Worked on refreshing the first page as well worked on getting the hosts repeatedly after each 5 seconds Worked on refreshing the second-page issue as well

What should I do next is: getting the hosts names if there are no names fire another function getting the setting from the user and fire the hosts function as well

added a new page for the host device and change the Alan page as well read some resources to understand the next step

19/2/2021 change the whole project into redux

23/2/2021 fixed the issues of the old branch and create a new one, made some changes on the redux branch as well, we need to work more on the project before finalizing it
