Hi peeps.
Unfortunately I'll be in the Snowy Mtns that weekend as in Vic it's Melbourne Cup weekend so it's a super long weekend for us.
Absolutely more than happy to help prep things though and can send our stock of gear to support too.

Hey Team, (particularly @ajfisher https://github.com/ajfisher @AnnaGerber https://github.com/AnnaGerber @DamonOehlman https://github.com/DamonOehlman)
Has @timoxley https://github.com/timoxley talked to any of you about doing another nodebots workshop at campjs yet? I'm pretty sure he is interested. Are you guys?
Maybe we only do 1 workshop this year (or at least not compete with @DamonOehlman https://github.com/DamonOehlman's awesome webRTC talk).
Who want's to take the lead on organising it? looks at @ajfisher https://github.com/ajfisher :P
I'm also running a tessel workshop at campjs and would appreciate any help you guys can give. It's going to be far less complex than a normal nodebots workshop as the modules are very simple and I can just point people at http://start.tessel.io (I better get a local mirror of that). I was thinking that I could separate the beginners and handhold them through it. The more confident people can work together and hopefully have a bit of help from you guys. Should be fun.

I'll bring the NodeBots BNE gear but I'm already doing a session on Docker and I'm keen to have some time to work on my own projects, so not putting my hand up to run a NodeBots workshop this time. I think we should make the gear available for people to use throughout the camp - they can come see one of us to check out an ARDX or SimpleBot kit. Unless @MauriceButler @kevdesign or @nog3 are up for organising a NodeBots session?
Im actually doing a performance tools session... Happy to help out when I can, especially if the kits are available during the camp I can help out anyone during the day etc.
The other thing to consider is maybe running a nodeschool version for the workshops? There's a nodeschool johnny-five set up I saw being kicked about the other day....

I really like @AnnaGerber's idea of bringing the kit and letting them have at it.
+1 for generally facilitating learning, but not running specific workshop sessions (you all deserve a bit of a break IMO).
Yeah considering you're all running other workshops!! Having a "checkout" system could work well.
Also FYI - I've been working with tronixlabs who have suggested a kit that might be a better replacement for the custom ARDX kits we created - they are a little more expensive but have a few more components in them than what are in the default ARDX kits and are a bit more "well packaged".
I'll get a sample and send it around for you all to have a look at.
