IBM MQ is a 23 years old enterprise messaging product and recently, we created a developer focused version called MQ Light with Node.js support out of the door. Being a quite a departure from our traditional C, Java and COBOL APIs, we hit both organisational and technical challenges introducing Node bindings to such a venerable project.
This talk is about the challenges we faced working with Node in this context, how we overcame them and the lessons we learned in doing so.
