Inspired by Adam Savages' 10 Commandments for makers, I decided to think about some of the things that I would tell myself if I could go back in time to just before I started programming. What I came up with was something I hope can be relatable to those who've been programming for a while and reassuring to those who've just started.
The principles raised in this talk are directed at the programmer community, but are easily applicable to any creative endeavour really. I hope for it to be fun to listen to and with the hopes of being a little bit uplifting and inspirational.
I have a post that is pretty much sums up the talk in written form :
UK Based JavaScript Junkie, HTML Hacker, Open Source enthusiast and Dad. I spend my days working for Nice in London as a developer and my evenings building things. I love code in all it's forms and enjoy sharing knowledge where I can.
