Meetings recording and transcript #257

As discussed on Slack with @mhdawson , I would like to suggest that meetings are recorded in a way that the transcript of the call is available along with the recording. As the meetings are considerably long, those unable to attend would be able to catch up much quicker by reading the transcript, than watching the full recording.

I noticed for instance that the security group uses Zoom and makes both the recording and transcript available after each call, so if a Zoom account is already available, I would suggest to consider using that one. Based on my understanding, YouTube (which is what this group uses to record calls) doesn't provide a transcript feature, only close captions.

I think the issue is folks do not know how to enable this. Could you provide some instructions or screenshots or links with instructions?

As I mentioned in Slack, if you use Zoom and record the video, the transcript, to the best of my knowledge, is automatically included and made available along with the recording.

I just looked and don't seen an option to enable transcripts:

This is from the existing configured Zoom webinar.

From the docs:

Audio transcription automatically transcribes the audio of a meeting or webinar that you record to the cloud

@simoneb that might be the issue, we don't record to the cloud we stream to Youtube.

I might be missing something, but I was simply suggesting to do it in the same way as the security groups is doing. They post the recording in the channel afterwards, along with the transcript. Not sure what they're doing exactly, but it seems to work for them. Would there be any issue with uploading to Zoom cloud?

@mhdawson streaming is not a problem. Than, once vid is on YT, feed its URL back to collector
