5 years ago 👋 Hi all! So, because of some last minute changes to travel plans, there’s ~62.82693% chance that I’ll be on the road for this week’s meeting. I’ve tapped @bnb to help lead this week’s discussion, so we’re still on. Will call in if I can!
The things I have to comment on: A man named Oscar Gonzalez is excited to start joining our recurring meeting starting the 28th as a designer for the project. He works with me on the Design Systems team at LinkedIn and I’m VERY excited to get him onboarded!
As we wrap up v1 of the /learn page, it’s time to start planning phase 2. This will include things like the new homepage, downloads page, community page, and re-skinned API docs. (See wireframe concepts)
For many of these, we can begin working on content and wiring up data before we get final designs. Ex: Pull in Node.js releases data and display un-styled on the downloads page, integrate static API docs into the build, iterate on homepage wants, etc. Separately, I’m hoping to re-kick off the nodejs/outreach initiative to work on meetup tracking, self hosted code and learn resources, metup organizer resources, etc. I’m hoping this group can also start sourcing content for the as of yet un-planned community page.
Anyway, lots to talk about for phase 2! Hopefully I can call in for a bit of it, but if not, wanted to get the juices flowing 🙂
