I'll have to leave a bit early, but I'll be there for most of it.
Hello, I've been a handful of times as a learner, and am interested in stepping up to mentor for 3/10.
I have completed the core workshoppers (could use a refresher run though) & reviewed the Best Practices docs.
@itsmed @Whelpley Alright, y'all are IN! See you on the 10th!
I'll be there
@Fauntleroy Count me in.
@joshleichtung @Zahidul-Islam y'all are making me so excited for the 10th!
Hi. I've mentored for the San Francisco Node School several times and would like to help out with Oakland as well. I'm sure it's not too different that I can't pick it up! ;) But I'm happy to attend as a learner if you'd prefer. Otherwise, count me in!
@skipzero It shouldn't be a problem, NodeSchool Oakland's relaunch was based off of NodeSchool SF (as of about 2 years ago) after all!
👍 I'll be there, with bells on. ;)
I'll come and help out. :wave:
@noffle Can't wait to JavaScript it up with you again!
I'll come to eat pizza and help students google error codes if you'll have me.
@mdotslash Your helpfulness and google-fu skills are only eclipsed by your other myriad positive qualities! I'll see you on Saturday!
Can I ?? Can I??
I mentored at the past one in SFO, would love to help there :D
@fforres of course!
Hello! I'd love to help if that's alright ✌️
@Xabadu Such support! You're always welcome!
Hi! I'd love to mentor if that last spot is still open! Did it once about 6 months ago and liked the xp!
I'm in
@thejsj @thomblake So much love! We've got so many mentors this time some of y'all are gonna have to mentor each other 😆
Don't forget to tell ALL YOUR FRIENDS!
I'm getting my son, to get him infected with the code-bug! I can mentor, help, be handy or just stay out of the way as needed.
@sramam Let us know if there's any way we can help!
I not going to be able to make it after all. See you at the next one.
@joshleichtung next time...
All, Thanks much for being so kind to my son last Saturday.
I think he's been infected by the code-bug!
With kids one can't tell if this counts as mission successful, however this battle was a decisive victory! Thanks to all of you for being so welcoming. Guess you'll be seeing a lot more of the two of us!
@sramam , please do bring your son back!
This was my first time mentoring at NodeSchool, and I was happy that I could be of use in guiding a new coder, in spite of my personal doubts.
@sramam Thank you so much for the feedback—I'm overjoyed that we were able to help your son get into programming! Let us know if there's anything we can do to make the event better for younger attendees! 🙇
@Whelpley Thank you for your help! May your contributions lead to even greater confidence in the future 👍
Thanks for coming out, everyone! I'm still working on getting our next event ready, but in the meantime y'all should look into the next NodeSchool SF event: https://github.com/nodeschool/sanfrancisco/issues/237
Hello mentors! Our next event will be held at npm on March 10th from 1-5PM. Chime in on this issue to join us as a mentor for this event!
Mentors should be familiar with the core NodeSchool workshoppers before the event. We also encourage mentors to review the NodeSchool Mentor Best Practices wiki page.
