Hi there My WP autoresponder is sending out emails (my blog posts) every day, even though I keep resetting it to send out NONE in the drop down menu.

@KaronGrieve You will have to log in and empty the queue [Newsletters > Queue Management] every few hours for a few days until they stop going out. The plugin is currently delivering all emails that were not sent the past one year. A new release will be out next week that will fix this issue.

It is not newsletters that it is sending out but my blog posts that have never been set to be sent out at all. I have no newsletters in queue or set up at all. Will it keep sending out my blog posts until the plug in is fixed next week? If so I might be best to disable it completely as nobody signed up for a daily dose of my blog.

@KaronGrieve Yes, it will keep delivering all blog posts since initial activation that have not been delivered. It may deliver more than once a day. If you have no limit, it could even so far as deliver everything - all emails since a year ago on the same day.

Really really sorry about this, didn't foresee this problem being a side effect of fixing an issue. I think the next release will be on the coming sunday. Until then, either disable the plugin or empty the queue continuously.

Is it safe to re activate the plug in now?

Please await the next release to enable the plugin. You will see an update. After you upgrade the plugin you may activate it

nodesman commented 11 years ago

The next update will be tentatively during this week.

@KaronGrieve I see no alternative to emptying the queue as the emails get enqueued as any measures I take will cause the genuine deliveries of other users to stop.

Please empty the queue of emails that are in your installation by visiting [Newsletters] > Queue Management and then empty the queue completely.
