if name is absent in csv file continuation is impossible

In the csv file I"m trying to import the name field is not there. and the plugin will not let me continue no matter what I do. If I select the second column which is the date I fear the date will be put in the wp data base. Not cool. Advice? This is a feedburner csv where emails were only typed in to the field not the person's name
