The cookie banner should be put in the middle down of the screen, to avoid hiding funtionalities. @sseppi will create a dedicated issue
@sseppi is it really necessary to also integrate an About
-section?
@Mazzolintis and I had a look at the Table View today and something similar like an About
-section is already existing there (see Screenshot below). We would recommend to stick with it and can optimize and extend it in case.
@Mazzolintis The solution discussed today is a good solution. During the meeting it has been decided to change the background color of the side bar from white to light gray.
@pkritzinger @Mazzolintis
It has been decided that, if the right side is closed, a hover effect that changes the background color to green, to let the user know that there is an action.
For the next time a new navigation for the home and tool description will be elaborated.
@pkritzinger can you please add the link to the final version of the side bar?
@sseppi @MatteoBiasi please find the link to the final design here: https://www.figma.com/design/DmuP6Dbv5LzkCNOXrDnWIL/2023-2024?node-id=2646-5381&t=d5M8J8DHL80jfTxr-1
By using the data browser I have seen that the side bar in the table view is now quite hidden. To notify the user about the side bar I thought we could:
In the side by we propose also to add an
About
tab with the information about the Dataset that are displayed in the Dataset Description page (e.g. https://databrowser.opendatahub.com/dataset-overview/7c8f490d-7b54-4a88-801f-f7669f5aaed9)Warning If we do so, we have to find a way to warn the user about this functionality! Maybe a tooltip or something similar could be useful. Maybe we could consider something similar what Githug (screenshot belo) or google drive with the new features do.
