Paying for the hosting costs of Fiction Dock

We have a few options here:

Ads

Unless we can get into The Deck or something similar, we'll be using Google Ads.

Pros:

• This pretty much pays for itself, although I have no idea if it'd help us break even.

Cons:

• It's bad UX, the site will load slower, and everyone hates ads
• People also tend to block ads, that will likely only become more prevalent as time goes on

  Donations

We could do this ourselves, or do it through Patreon. I'm unsure if either would actually work.

Pros:

• This would be awesome

Cons:

• Donations probably wouldn't be enough to pay for hosting costs unless we got lucky.

Other than that, I can't think of anything we can do to help the site break even aside from just taking the hit ourselves. Ideas appreciated.
