It seems that version 1.7.3 is no longer available for download from https://downloads.apache.org/orc/ - possibly in relation to https://lists.apache.org/list?commits@orc.apache.org:lte=1M:1.7.3 (it seems that the download location for 1.7.3 has changed to be https://archive.apache.org/dist/orc/orc-1.7.3/orc-1.7.3.tar.gz)

As 1.7.3 and 1.7.4 are both available from https://archive.apache.org/dist/orc/orc-<VERSION>/orc-<VERSION>.tar.gz should we also be updating the orc download url ?

Thank you. Yes, I think the default URL should be changed to the archive. I've just recently noticed that the latest version is also available on that one.
