not enough application memory to run Citrus #63

Hi Rob,

Wondering if you or anyone has run into the problem where r prompts the error message (after initiating Citrus analysis) that there's not enough application memory to complete the job. When going into the activity monitor on the Mac, the "kernel_task" is reading ~10Gb which is clearly eating up all available memory. Is there a simple fix? When i reboot the computer, the kernel_task goes back down to ~900Mb. But when Citrus starts up, the kernel_task shoots back up.

any thoughts?

Hrm.. I haven't really tested the memory limits of Citrus, actually. How much RAM is in the computer that you're running it on?

OK, thanks Rob. I have 16 Gb ram to play with, so should be plenty. Also, it is a sudden problem and occurring on runs of sampling 1000 cells. Ive previously on this computer not had problems sampling 10,000 cells.

I will let you know if I get this resolved.

Thanks
