limit number of events on import not working #12

Hi, I'm selecting import only 25,000 rows from each file, but I seem to be getting all events regardless.

A sample fcs file is here, it's from a ZE5 instrument but then only compensated parameters were exported using flowjo. This problem doesn't seem to occur with other files, but only with these particular files.

Edit - trying again it seems it works intermittently. Perhaps sensitive about whether you press enter, or tab out of a field, or use the 'next' button vs clicking the next tab?

I also have the same problem, all my events are clustered, whatsoever subsampling I try to do. I played around with parameter and everything, but no way. Moreover, sometimes the uploaded files are kind of merged and only one cell is uploaded (no idea why). Does anyone have found a solution?

Hi Andy and Galli,

I tried to import the file that Andy attached, on my computer. It seems that the Import max. is working correctly. Did you make sure to check the checkbox next to 'Import max.'?

Galli - could you please share your FCS files with me so that I could try and investigate the issue?

Hmm, I'm pretty certain I checked the box but I agree that the 2nd time I ran this it seemed to work as intended. Perhaps just a mistake on my part. If so, my apologies. But I'm also not certain whether the 1st time around, the order of how I did the steps for all of the file import options may have differed and whether that may have affected if the event limit takes effect.
