Hi, can you explain a bit more about your use case? I'm a bit confused - keyboard users should be able to do anything that mouse/touch users can currently do. For instance, inside of a reply, you can Tab to the reply button itself and press Enter to close the reply. For new posts, you can also use Esc (to dismiss the modal) or Tab (to remove focus from the textbox). Is there something I missed?
I use a web browser called qutebrowser. It's a Vi-like web browser that uses different modes just like Vi and its successors.
For navigation it uses hints, but on some websites (mostly JavaScript heavy ones) there can cause issues, like being stuck in an input box when you leave insert mode back to the normal mode.
I don't know why this happens and I should have probably asked the developer of qutebrowser before bugging you about it. I know the issue is with the website and not the web browser though.
I also think this is an issue on mobile so well. If you write a message/reply you need to select all text and delete it for it to be less intrusive. It would be nice if you could just dismiss it quickly with a button instead.
I use a keyboard driven web browser and when I write a new post or a reply I sometimes change my mind and dismisses the post/reply. The issue now is that I'm stuck in the input box even after leaving the insert mode in the web browser and the only way of escaping is to reload the page.
It would be nice if there was a small
X
to dismiss the post and go back to the regular focus.
