Look into other algorithms to implement in this project. Some ideas:

logarithmic spacing (increase or decrease by a log function with some scaling constant)
- example in Matlab: https://www.mathworks.com/help/matlab/ref/logspace.html
fit to curve (given some function, find y-values at linearly-spaced x values across the curve)
