First of all, don't start it at this point.

What version are you using and how did you get it? Also, what's your operating system? (Obviously Windows, but more details might be helpful.)

Try uploading it to https://www.virustotal.com/ to check if it's a false positive for your AntiVirus.

The versions of GPT4All that are offered here are built from this repository and definitely don't have a virus, although I think there was another opened issue at one point about a false positive, I'd have to search for that, though. Lastly, if you don't trust the offered binaries, you can also build it yourself, although it needs a few developer prerequisites.
