GPT4All crashes when loading certain models since v3.2.1 #2951

Bug Report

Since installing v3.2.1, selecting any Llama3 model causes application to crash. Prior to install v3.2.1 the models worked as expected without issue.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Install or update to v3.2.1
  2. Download any Llama 3 model
  3. Select model in the chat window.

Expected Behaviour

Chat window should load Llama3 models without crashing and permit a chat dialogue.

I have the same issue as well, but running on 16GB RAM

Issue still persists after updating to 3.3.0
