[Suggestion]: Enhance the mod with Weather Physics & Visuals #31

Description of feature request

Hello,

I just wanted to say how incredibly detailed and fantastic the mod is! I’ve always been inspired by storm/weather stuff, and your mod really resonates with me. I’ve even worked on a few storm and tornado-related projects in Gmod using Lua code, so I can definitely appreciate the attention to detail here.

I have a suggestion that could make the mod better. Features like wind physics, hail, and heavy precipitation would create a more immersive atmosphere in the game.

For example, wind physics could include:

Wind Gusts: Sudden or smoothly bursts of wind.

Directional Wind: Wind that changes direction depending on the weather system, affecting cloud movement and how particles behave.

Strong Winds During Storms: Wind speeds could increase as a storm approaches, starting with light breezes and gradually intensifying. As you move closer to the center of a strong storm, the winds could become extreme, making it harder to walk or pushing lighter entities. However, not every storm would have high winds, lighter storms could have gentle breezes, while stronger storms would have more powerful winds.

Rain Affected by Wind: The direction of rainfall could shift during strong winds, with rain falling at an angle rather than straight down.

For the rain effects, you could also add:

Raindrop Splashes: When raindrops hit the ground, there could be small splash particles or puddles, adding more visual detail to rainy weather.

Puddles Forming (OPTIONAL): As heavy rain continues, small puddles could form on the ground, evaporating over time after the storm ends.

Rain Mist: Light mist forming on the ground during or after heavy rain, adding to the atmosphere.

Rain Shafts or Microbursts: During extremely heavy rainfall with strong winds, a rain shaft effect could occur. This would appear as a dense curtain of rain, where the intense wind and rain seem to combine into a single, thick wall of water, resembling a microburst. This could create a cool visual effect and would add realism to the storm’s intensity.

On top of that, I think integrating tornadoes would be amazing. You could include different types, like:

Wedge Tornadoes: These massive storms could visually dominate the landscape and create a real sense of danger.

Rope Tornadoes: Thin and twisting, they could add a unique challenge for players trying to navigate the environment.

It would also be great to have debris that picked up blocks. Plus, incorporating visual effects like cloud rotation and that clouds have green stormy atmospheric ambience and blue as storms intensify would really enhance the experience.

As for the clouds themselves, while the mod is still in beta, you could consider using algorithms like Simplex or Perlin noise after the full release. This would require very larges changes to the current system, but it could help create more realistic cloud formations while still maintaining the stylized, ambient feel of the mod.

Also you might consider to work with Corosus (The Creator of Weather, Storms & Tornadoes on Curseforge) and his contributors because you guys can create a really good weather minecraft mod and both of you have a very good potential.

Thanks for considering these ideas, and keep up the fantastic work!

Tornadoes are planned for the disaster addon. Unsure about microbursts and strong winds though.
