Since hurricanes are planned for the disaster mod, i want to go ahead and suggest hypercanes aswell. (I mentioned hypercanes in the discord aswell) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hypercane general rundown: It is basically a hurricane on steroids', these theoretical storms are thought to form if ocean temperatures reached atleast 49 °C (120 °F)-50 °C (122 °F). Unlike hurricanes, a hypercane's clouds would extend into the upper stratosphere 30 to 40 km (20 to 25 mi). Hypercanes are thought to be extremely powerful with windspeeds up to 500 mph (gusting to 600 mph) and having very low pressure of 700 or less making them last a long time. This extreme low pressure could also support massive storm systems roughly the size of North America meaning they can be as big or bigger than typhoon tip. However hypercanes may mostly be as small as 25 km (15 mi) in size, and they would lose strength quickly after venturing into colder waters. The waters after a hypercane could remain hot enough for weeks, allowing more hypercanes to form

The hypercanes intensity would also damage the ozone layer, allowing harmful UV radiation to enter the atmosphere

In-game: Like with hurricanes i believe hypercanes should be scaled down (atleast down to 1000s of blocks at there smallest). Due to there intensity and effects i don't believe hypercanes should be able to form until atleast after 2 minecraft weeks (configurable), after which they would have a rare chance of forming in a ocean. The hypercane's winds would displace and destroy most blocks, absolutely blow entities caught in the wind and substantial flooding. When a hypercane passes, players would still have to stay put due to the UV radiation coming down, witch would last a short time. Players can wear armor or use some other thing to protect from the UV for a short time.

Imo this would be a interesting mid-endgame challenge.

UV radiation seems a bit out of scope, but I could probably look into adding some sort of hypercane for the future

not including the UV radiation is fine by me in fact i was thinking of just not including it because of how extra it could be for the mod.
