I have noticed that the GPL license requirements are only partially met on this codebase.
As it is obvious that the intention was to license this work as GPL, I would like to point out a few issues:
The codebase is missing a copy of the GPL, either as COPYING on LICENSE file in the root directory.
The Makefile is missing a copyright notice and the license notice.
The X11Exception.h file is missing a copyright notice.
The last item of this list seems to be an upstream problem. If it is so, please notify the upstream developer about the issue.
I am not sure about the Makefile, that might also be an upstream issue.
I am willing to create a pull request to add a LICENSE file, but I would like some feedback on the other two issues first.
The Makefile is from this repo so no problem with that. X11Exception.h is from the same (now apparetly unavailable) package as XKeyboard.{h,cpp}, which was GPL so should be no problem there either.

I'm looking forward to your feedback.
