"Need package `git-commit-mode-1.0', but only 0.13 is available" #9

The above is the error message when attempting to install the package via M-x package-install, git-gutter-fringe+ (though the same occurs attempting to install git-gutter+, which is why I'm reporting here).

This is confusing, insofar as 1.0 is listed in the package-requires for some time, but the latest git-commit-mode really is 0.13.

You're right, the required version (0.14) of git-commit-mode isn't available on Marmalade. I've removed the link to Marmalade from the README.

Could you try installing via MELPA?
