only highlight exactly the same symbol #6

I found the mode not only highlights the symbols cursor point to, but also the longer symbols that contains the symbol as sub symbol e.g., i want to highlight variable name abc, but variables named xyz_abc is also highlighted. is that expected? or i can change the settings? thanks

I've added a patch in the branch highlight-symbol.

Before adding it to master I'd like to test this for a few days.
