VPN Routes not cleaned up correctly #51

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
0.Clean Boot of phone with wifi turned off.
1.Turn on OpenVPN Tunnel, look at routes
2.Turn off OpenVPN Tunnel, look at routes
3.Turn on Wifi on same network as OpenVPN Tunnel, look at routes
4.Turn off Wifi, look at routes

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The VPN network route is left behind but now attached to the rmnet0 device.

Now the only way to recover (start the OpenVPN tunnel) is to manually delete
the route:
/system/xbin/route del IP_ADDR_OF_VPN_GW

What version of the product are you using?
0.4.7

Which Android phone are you using?
Nexus One

Which firmware version are you using?
CM6.1 (Nightly)

Please provide any additional information below.

It could be my specific OpenVPN settings (server/client). Let me know if I need
to dig deeper.

I can not verify this behavior on my Nexus One (Stock Android 2.3.6).
Does this issue still occur?

Neither can I. Usually the openvpn binary takes care of this...
