Image and Document Naming #4

Thoughts on the best practices for naming XML documents and images.

For XML I have been using VAO (Valentine and Orson) and then the publisher's last name. This is a little weird when there are multiple publishers or the publisher is not there/weird (see walking stationers).

For images should I be numbering based on each document or based on one overall numbering system? Smaller images names are better, but not always the easiest to understand.

NONE OF THE IMAGES ARE IN THE CORRECT ORDER.

Went with VAO then chronological numbering. ABC etc will be used for smaller figures that I have to crop.
