Mobile applications for iOS and Android #2437

Closed AndreiMaz closed 1 year ago

AndreiMaz commented 7 years ago

It'll be based on Flutter

Update: The official mobile application for nopCommerce is now available on our website.

yehia2amer commented 3 years ago

It's Great to know that is there is a plan for Mobile App development. For our use case, Flutter is much better. One code-base and still almost same performance anyway as this is an eCommerce app not a game or GPU\CPU intensive App.

Very Excited to see this along with API support #4988

Flutter app will be great!

I see that it's been removed from 4.50. Will this be part of 4.60? This item was created in 2017, it's 4 years and nothing materialized till now.

Why not MAUI?

Flutter OR MAUI OR Xamrin?

AndreiMaz commented 2 years ago

Flutter

nextfool commented 2 years ago

MAUI would be a great choice for .net developers....

MAUI would be a great choice for .net developers....

I do agree

AndreiMaz commented 2 years ago

We've considered MAUI. But it's still not ready for production and doesn't work well

nextfool commented 1 year ago

Hi @AndreiMaz , thanks for the clarification, but still IMHO, being not based on MAUI is a pity. Maybe you can just release beta(even alpha) versions, and wait till MAUI is mature enough. Developing with flutter or any other production ready solutions takes lot of time and versions anyway.

AndreiMaz commented 1 year ago

@nextfool Sure, we understand that. Once MAUI is mature and stable enough, we can consider release of one more version of the mobile app (based on MAUI). But nowadays Flutter is much better choice for developers and merchants

I think nopcommerce can be integrated with fluxstore. There is no point in writing an application from scratch https://codecanyon.net/item/fluxstore-the-universal-woocommerce-magento-opencart-mobile-app-by-flutter-framework/24020929 Screenshot_2022-09-27-23-31-58-939_com android chrome

Hi @AndreiMaz , are we sure that this ticket will be completed with next release (version 4.6) at planned timeline(Nov 1) or will there be any delay, if yes please share the expected date of completion.

AndreiMaz commented 1 year ago

The mobile is almost completed (80%)

balajivelu147 commented 1 year ago

great.. good to know, thanks for the quick response.. @AndreiMaz

kava81 commented 1 year ago

Hi @AndreiMaz Mobile applications will be compatible only with 4.60 or also previous version? thanks

AndreiMaz commented 1 year ago

@kava81 Most probably, we'll support 4.50 as well

matthewha commented 1 year ago

Hi @AndreiMaz,

Great to see this coming along. Will the app/s cover just customer functions or will there be administration functionality as well?

Thanks

DmitriyKulagin commented 1 year ago

@matthewha Customer functions only

matthewha commented 1 year ago

@matthewha Customer functions only

Thanks @DmitriyKulagin - will be great to have. Would also be useful to have an app that allows the vendor functionality (the administrator functions can always be done through a web browser) such as adding/modifying/etc. products, fulfilling orders, etc. too

amirkhanjz commented 1 year ago

I think it's time to send this to next milestone and release 4.6 as this work item was not in 4.6 changelog pdf.

AndreiMaz commented 1 year ago

The mobile app will be released in about 2 weeks. We'll support nopCommerce versions 4.50 and 4.60

dev3380 commented 1 year ago

When mobile app will be released?

jjcowo commented 1 year ago

When will the app be released?

AndreiMaz commented 1 year ago

In about a week

cratosomg commented 1 year ago

We should promote the application by placing difference tempting things to the customers. Example % offer, free shipping, buy three get one free or other things depending on the business. So customers will make more use of the app.
