Color does not change for a text selection #170

I really love this theme but have a problem with the color of a text selection ‒ it simply does not change (both selection modes) and it seems nothing is selected. Any idea how to solve this?

It does not work just in case of working over ssh (vagrant). Otherwise, it works as expected.
