Symetry is indeed useful, so I'll have to think about it.
Understand how symetry works with Instant Meshes, all those options and 2/4/6 settings are hard to get, and I don't even know if they work...
What about a sequence of modifiers to do something like:
It would be more of a post-process step, but could work!
