No new options in my Sources list #64

I had your plugin on OBS 27 - it is great. I upgraded to OBS 28. I'm on an M1 Mac Mini. Here is my log https://obsproject.com/logs/_FMtG3jy4f0PjhjW

It looks the plugin (obs-color-monitor) was not loaded by OBS 28. The search path of OBS 28 was changed. When you install the plugin, would you ensure these points?

Before contacting you, I tried installing the ...-obs28-macos-universal.pkg. When that didn't work I tried the zip version following the instructions provided. I just repeated both in case I missed something. I have the same issue.

A couple of notes, in case this helps diagnose the issue.

  1. When using the .pkg installer, I was never prompted to install only for this user. However, I don't have multiple users, so probably not an issue.
  2. Also probably not an issue, but still a difference I noticed. obs-color-monitor.plugin is not displaying as a folder. It is displayed like this (inline and attached).

Please advise.

  • Download the universal (including both x86_64 and ARM) version of the plugin (the package name ends with ...-obs28-macos-universal.pkg.
  • When installing, please select to install for current user only.

Following up on this. I manually navigated to my user account > Library... plugins folder and copied the obs-color-monitor.plugin file into it. Everything works now. Again, I was never prompted to "install just for this user" with the Universal pkg. Not sure why.

I think this file need to be updated. https://github.com/norihiro/obs-color-monitor/blob/main/installer/installer-macOS.pkgproj.in

However, I don't have macOS and I have no idea which line to change. Help would be welcome.

I'm sorry, but I can't help here. While I'm a quasi-technical consumer, I am not at all qualified to update this file.

The latest version should work on Apple Silicon.
