clicking outside the editor causes selection to be lost #50

if you highlight text, and then try to click on the "connectives" button, but "miss" and click outside the editor entirely, the text selection gets lost. i'm using windows 10 and chrome.

@Gauntlet173 I guess this behavior is part of the annotator library we use. @lex-lex What do you think?
