I wasn't able to trigger the PIN input prompt, is there anyway I can simple store the info into a file so it can read?

NVM, it's my bad.

How did you solve the PIN problem? I start homebridge manually and get pin on screen on my TV, but I dont get any prompt to enter it in ssh.
