@aleixpol shoot through a PR and I'll merge. We aren't actively maintaining this plugin -- the intention was always for it to be a community maintained effort.
Then will QGIS upstream eventually get support for saga-gis 7.x? I assumed it was an actual next-gen venture.
Possibly this plugin could be backported to QGIS... although I'd honestly prefer to see the saga provider removed from a default QGIS install and become an opt-in, standard plugin only.
I'd only gotten here because of https://github.com/flathub/org.qgis.qgis/issues/37.
Even if it becomes opt-in, it will have to require stable versions of the package rather than ancient ones.
How is it that this plugin is supporting the only version not listed by upstream's git? https://sourceforge.net/p/saga-gis/code/ref/master/tags/
Also does it really need to match exactly to 7.2? Would supporting 7 be a possibility?
