Thanks for the detailed feedback. I like the idea of Micro.blog. Micro.blog is also a great product.
Micro.blog is useful only for a subset of users so I think it should be done as an extension. Either through the Nota extensibility API or through a built-in extension.
That makes sense, but there’s also a much larger community of Wordpress bloggers who’d be interested, I think.
It's really good feature. I use iA Writer and used to use Ulysses. And one of the greatest features there is posting in blogs. I blog on self-hosted Wordpress. Both Ulysses and iA Writer can post on Micro.blog, Medium and Ghost too.
It will be great you to add this feature.
Hello,
I downloaded Nota and I really like it, in some ways better than iA writer which I've been using till now. I need to explore a little more before I commit to buying a license, just to make sure that what you've got going on fits my workflow as easily and smoothly as it looks like it will. The one question I have, which may be much further down the road, is whether you plan to add posting for bloggers. I blog on Micro.blog and it would be lovely if I could write a post in Nota and just post it to my blog.
I will also say, as an aside, that if you do include that feature you might find a market among Micro bloggers. A number of them use Ulysses, for example, precisely because you can post from there directly to the blog, but they don't like the fact that Ulysses files are proprietary. If a Markdown editor were available that could do much of what Ulysses does--and your user interface looks very similar to me--without that hassle, they might be very tempted to switch. Just a thought that occurred to me.
Anyway, I like this editor very much. I will be making my decision soon.
