Hard to know and quickly navigate between documents when there are a few open #249

It is hard to know which documents are open when a few. Perhaps using tabs could help?

I understand cmd+1, etc. allows to cycle through open apps, but not ideal, in my opinion.

Thanks!

Another proposal (that e.g. Sublime supports) is an option to hide tabs/open files alltogether. I interact with a lot of notes and the list with open notes is no help there, it just confuses.

I tend to navigate to files with cmd+p at any time, latest files are on top (this is true for Sublime and Nota alike).

There are a lot of people who don't find tabs the best UX. We are also in that circle. We are heavily experimenting with this and, most probably, the next release will include an improvement on that. Stay tuned!

I was wondering if vertical tabs would be a solution? Maybe even being able to use Tab Groups by dragging them under a title.

Maybe an Active Files list from the Command Palette? Something that won't mess up the interface for those of us that don't keep so many files open ;-)

The next release will include an overall improvement to the UX and this will fix this case as well.
