Non-working URLs #3

I didn't keep track of which URLs were considered invalid, just those that were still considered valid when I tried playing them in VLC; notably, nearly all of the sports streams no longer worked.

Below is the single M3U file I exported from VLC, containing only those streams that worked at least once when I tried:

Hi Lewisje! Thanks for bringing this to my attention.

Generally speaking, the URLs in the Live packages are only up for a limited time; a few of the local stations only keep the stream up while they're airing live news, and I don't think any of the live sports streams (except NFL Now Live) stay up 24/7.

I am aware of certain issues, such as the Fox News livestream URLs not working and the 105.7 and 106.7 The Fan streams being "unavailable temporarily." I will remove them if they cannot be replaced.

Also, when college football and college basketball season starts up I will have to revalidate the SEC on CBS streams and the ACC Network streams, I do not know whether they change the URL schemes from year to year or not, but the SEC switched theirs last year and ESPN is launching a 24/7 ACC sports channel.

To be clear, the ones I listed are the ones that actually work: Even showing a graphic saying the stream isn't live at the moment still counts as "working"; all other streams failed to load anything and were considered "invalid" by VLC.

The two The Fan stations are the only two sports stations that worked at all.

I could try to compile all the stream URLs and diff them with the list I posted, just so I could be clearer about which ones don't work anymore, which is most of them.

Thanks for letting me know about this. I'll make issues for the down streams as I come across them; hopefully I'll be able to get through all the streams in a day or so.

Praise Temple is a live events stream; it's only on when there's a sermon.

If you go to St. Peter Catholic Church's website, they say "The streaming will begin 5 minutes prior to each Mass time."

Adult Swim stopped streaming the alternate marathon streams cross-domain.

Also, YES is geoblocked; it's a Canadian-only network.

DiamondClub.TV's 24/7 has gone down, but they're undergoing some changes, so I'll wait to see where the stream will be hosted before I remove the channel from the package.

The NASA ISS stream from Ustream won't let me stream cross-domain either.

Alright, so I finally am going through the rest of the stream URLs, and I'm making some progress. Most of the streams are working, and I removed some streams that did not work. This process has been sped up by my completion of a player I've been working on a while, which you can try out yourself here: https://notanewbie.000webhostapp.com/Quick%20M3U8%20Tester/index.html It's quick, easy, and has some limitations (see the readme here: https://github.com/notanewbie/auto-hls-html5player/blob/master/README.md) but works good enough. If anyone wants to test streams themselves, feel free to try it out.

I'm leaving this open, just 'cause the streams are always changing. Next week this issue'll probably be valid again, lol.
