I think JSON cursor data should be exported in a file separate from the SVG. It should be made easy for applications to associate new recordings (audio or MIDI) with the same score. This should be done when I've completed the first run through the altMNX cursors development.

Distinguish clearly between:

  1. Live performance by human performers
  2. Synchronisation with external recordings
  3. Playback of internal data ("the score")

It may well be possible to create an interface to external recordings later, but first things first. So I want to start by concentrating on 3, and to work this in to Tombeau 1. (Was very impressed by some late Steve Reich pieces in a concert at the Kölner Philharmonie on 6. May 2018. The use of repeats or near repeats to establish modi, enabling dramatically clear mode-shifts...)
